But the most important and beautiful, which is visited by many tourists, are the scenic Marble Caves (Las Cavernas de Marmol) or Marble Cathedral (the Marble Cathedral then) , which are located in the middle of the lake, near the town of Chile Chico (Chile the Chico) , but the entrance and a large part of the cave is located on the Chilean side. This magnificent maze of mountain limestone rocks, has three main grotto - Chapel (La Capilla), Cathedral (Catedral El) and Cave (La Cueva). Flickr/Valentin Rüst
Rocks created by the nature of the limestone - marble, and three mountain formation - Marble Cathedral, Marble Chapel and Marble Cave were once completely hidden under the water. The caves themselves were formed over thousands of years of exposure to waves that wash away the rock. Over time, the glacier that filled the lake has melted, the water level dropped and now is a miracle available to us.
Marble cave is visited by large number of tourists who swim up to them on boats, boats and even kayaks, floating on the bizarre maze, making the memory wonderful pictures, colored columns and walls of caves.
