Devetashka Cave ( Cave Devetashka ) is One of the largest caves in Europe The cave is located on the river between the villages of Osam Doyrentsi and Devetaki, Lovech Province, Bulgaria. This is one of the largest caves in the country, and has the largest cave in Bulgaria, 360 meters in length. Cave discovered in 1921 and in its own interest to take part Tsar Boris III. The cave is well lit by natural holes in the ceiling, which the locals call window. Archaeological excavations have found the remnants of the cultural layer, almost all prehistoric periods. According to archaeological research, it served as a refuge for people with late Paleolithic era. The cave length is 1500 meters and the entrance to it is a giant doorway 35 meters high and 55 meters wide. The cave found 11 underground lakes and all sorts of beautiful cave formations. Cave declared a monument of cultural and historical significance.

The cave itself is barely passable due to the flow of the rivers in it. To pass it need serious equipment, which includes a narrow boat and a strong rope. It is also used as a military facility for the storage of oil. Some visitors have destroyed part of the natural attractions of the cave. In 1996 it was declared a protected monument.
