books, newspapers, phone books, and magazines as the source for his
sculptures. Scratching his creatures on stacks of phone books. He even made enough to hold a full report from them.
Long Bin-Chen has won many prizes in Europe, Taipei, and Japan, for exhibiting extensively at galleries and museums for many years in Japan, Korea, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, London, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United States. He has been awarded artist fellowship grants from Taiwan’s National Endowment for the Arts, the Joan Mitchell Foundation in New York and the Freeman Foundation.
