Stunning Living Cathedral Made Out Of Plants

God created nature, animals and people, and nowhere felt the Creator's hand like in nature, between the living shrubs and plants, so thought an Italian Artist Giuliano Mauri and built at the foot of Arera (Italy) "living cathedral" ( Cattedrale Vegetable ) from plants. Giuliano Mauri first seedlings planted in 2001 at the foot of Arera on the outskirts of the Italian city of Bergamo and his creation he called "the Cathedral of the Living" Aka "Cathedral plant" (Cattedrale Vegetable).

The basis of the "Cathedral of the Living" up 42 columns, woven from spruce trunks and beams of chestnut and walnut, they form five basil. Inside each of these columns seedling planted horn beam. As planned over time, these plants need to grow, destroying the artificial skeleton, intertwine and form a canopy of living walls and ceiling. But as long as we can see only the initial version of the Cathedral, and the main idea of the author will be able to see only a few years. flickr/Alessandro

Unfortunately, the author Giuliano Mauri did not see his creation in the form which it is conceived, since he died eight years after its creation, but his work was continued by his son, Roberto Mauri, who is now watching "living cathedral". Since the establishment of the framework is quite time-consuming process that it completed only by 2010 within the framework of the International Year of Biodiversity program, held under the auspices of the UN.

Although the final version of the church in a way which conceived Giuliano Mauri. we will see will not soon but nevertheless a living cathedral ( Cattedrale vegetable ) and is now visited by many tourists, art lovers, as well as religious pilgrims, because where they do not close to nature feel the presence of God.
