In this building, elevators, air-conditioning and piping also gathered in one place with two central pillars, each of 140 capsules attached to this part of the two places, above and below, with steel bolts. In these modules, the capsules have everything you need for life: a bed, a table, a bathroom with toilet, air conditioning, TV, telephone and so on. Production of these units and the interior capsule carried out at the factory in Shiga Prefecture, 500 km. Nakagin from a building under construction, and finished capsule carried the motorway on special trailers. At the site, these capsule unit is installed only with the help of cranes. A similar process at the time was considered unheard of. At the entrance on the ground floor "nakagin Tower" sample capsule was displayed in full size. This space is reminiscent of the interior of the spacecraft equipment, the Japanese seemed the embodiment of childhood fantasies about the "secret space bases" (from a Japanese children's cartoon). flickr/arjaeboi

Besides this capsule is able to connect to each other. They can be replaced, added, rearranged, or can be thrown out of the extent of wear.
